Hof Schulze Niehues also offers advanced training in lunging with the single or double lunge and long rein work as part of its courses for adults. In addition to basic lunging skills, the professional use of the respective equipment is also taught under expert guidance.

Working on the lunge line gives both the rider and the trainer a new and broader perspective on the horse and its level of training. According to the classical understanding of training, weightless work on the ground is of particular importance. As a means of fine-tuning, it is a significant facilitation and extension of the work under saddle. It enables the rider/trainer to gain valuable insights into the horse’s behavior, movement sequences, aids and communication options.

Ground work

Many horse owners and riders want a calm horse with strong nerves, with which they can experience a relaxed relationship both in sport and in their leisure time. To achieve this, it is important to handle the horse correctly and to have knowledge of the nature of the horse. This is why Hof Schulze Niehues offers a course on the subject of “ground work”.

The ground work improves the horse’s composure and nerve strength. Exercises from the guided and ridden composure test (GHP) for sport and leisure horses are trained. Through various environmental stimuli and dexterity exercises, the horse learns to react calmly and stress-free to unusual situations, such as those that occur at competitions or on rides.
After completing the course, participants receive a certificate from the training instructor on behalf of the FN.

It goes without saying that a pleasant vacation atmosphere is also important during the riding courses.
