In Balance with the Horse<\/strong><\/p>\n Knowledge of the rider\u2019s biomechanics is crucial for positively influencing the horse\u2019s development and motivation. Under the motto \u201cHorseback Riding Instruction: Participate, Feel, and Understand,\u201d I begin with the functional anatomy of the human body, and we use our hands to feel the structures on our own bodies that are important for riding. The course is designed for riders of all ages and disciplines, as well as instructors, and includes both theory and practical instruction, as well as half-board accommodations at the Schulze Niehues farm.<\/p>\n About me:<\/strong>

\nIn this seminar, I\u2019ll answer practical questions such as:
\n– How do I move optimally with the horse?
\n– Why is an upright upper body important?
\n– What does \u201cdeep heel\u201d mean?<\/p>\n
\nThere is a stretching and mobility program, and we practice movements specific to equestrian sports.
\nUsing a skeletal model in the saddle, I\u2019ll demonstrate the effects of poor seat posture. With bits and reins, we\u2019ll develop a subtle connection to the horse\u2019s mouth and learn correct rein aids.
\nFinally, we\u2019ll demonstrate what we\u2019ve learned while riding. <\/p>\n
